Welcome to our website which we hope you will find interesting and informative. This year, 2008, has seen the 150th anniversary of the apparitions of Our Lady to St Bernadette and over 1400 pilgrims made the journey from our diocese to Lourdes. Over the next couple of months photographs of this years pilgrimage will be posted on the site and as well as this you can read the Director’s ‘Dear Diary’ – a personal memory of the 2008 pilgrimage.
The dates for 2009 Pilgrimage are as follows:
Overland leaving the diocese on July 26th arriving Lourdes July 27th
Leaving Lourdes August 2nd to arrive home August 3rd
The overland section travels by coach from various points in the diocese to Calais where a special TGV train takes us direct to Lourdes.
By Air July 27th – August 2nd
The air section flies out of Manchester direct to Lourdes.
